Bobbi Travels Light

Bobbi Brown represents the every woman – Classic AND fun –  retro AND modern – chic AND funky. We are all women and we are all beautiful but what makes Bobbi unique is her ability to listen to women and give them what they need to be their MOST beautiful. There are a few items I’ve had since the dawn of cosmetic time from Ms. Brown like her Shimmer Brick, Creamy Concealer, and Foundation Stick but whether you are a fan or not, you owe it to yourself to try two of her latest (and possibly greatest) products.

Everyone loves Bobbi’s Long Wear Gel Eyeliner. It’s won countless beauty awards and comes in a bagillion shades (give or take a few.) But leave it to Bobbi to revamp a staple product for the convenience and all around pleasure of her loyal following. The Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner is basically the answer to all of our prayers – gel liner in stick form. These smooth pencils can be smudged or stand true – you decide. After 30 seconds or so, it won’t budge until you tell it to with the help of an oil or cream based makeup remover. There is also an itty bitty sharpener attached to the end of each pencil so you can get that crisp edge needed for wings and tightlining. Currently there are only six shades but that might need to change sometime in the near future.

Lip Stick! Check. Lip Liner? Check. Blush?? Uh check? With purses getting smaller and makeup getting bolder, wouldn’t it be awesome to have one product to take the place of all three of these things? Enter the new Art Stick that comes in eight great shades ranging from bold to subdued. This creamy pencil glides on matte and can be softly diffused for a wash of color on the cheek or layered for that high impact effect on your luscious lips. I bought two and had to go back for a third – orange really is the new black. Trust me.

In the interest of full disclosure, I work as a freelance MUA for Bobbi Brown. Some people may think that this would make me biased but the key word in that sentence is FREElance – as in free…like I have the freedom – oh you got it? Great! I think that these, along with the newly improved Skin Foundation Sticks, are the only things you really need in your purse in order to cut down on clutter without sacrificing anything. Now THAT’S what I call pretty powerful.

Until next time, my pretties!
